Amazon has several brands. We bought Mexitan. My son convinced me it was the right thing to do as we plan to visit several cenotes and would like to help keep them healthy.

http://mexitan.com/

We've always just bought Mexitan although I see now that their new name is "Tropical Sands". It's around the same money to order it from either Amazon or their own website. There's always a lot of controversy when this topic comes up as to what is acceptable to use at these eco parks. They look for certain ingredients so "eco friendly" doesn't always mean "biodegradable". We just go with what we know they accept at these parks (like Xel-ha or Xcaret) like Mexitan/Tropical Sands. You're only talking a few dollars difference from what you think might be O.K. that you found in your local store. I'd rather not assume that I have the right thing. (just my dos centavos).

Don't know much about biodegradable sunscreen but we have ordered ours from http://www.entertainment-plus.net/Sunblock/, the tour company and they deliver it to the resort. I thought it saved on another thing to pack. Not to sure whether it is any good or whether it's a good price.

Maybe other members could comment.

Are you sure it delivers to hotels in the Riviera Maya area? It says "Cancun" hotels and that's not the same. Hard to believe for that cheap price for the suncreen that they drive it all the way down and deliver it? No delivery charge?

I ordered the sun cream at the same time as booking a tour to Chichen Itza and they had an option either to get the sun cream when you went on the tour or to be delivered to the resort earlier. I suppose they are driving passed daily on tours along the coast. I have received confirm the understated confirmation (I've blanked out any personnel details, not that anyone will run off with my sun cream):

CONFIRMATION EMAIL
Client # XXXXXXXXXX
Reservation ID XXXXXXXXXX
Product Name Sunblock SPF 45 Biodegradable 5 oz
Quantity 1

Thank you for ordering our BATAB products.
I will drop off the product at your hotel front desk/concierge. Delivery time is between 3pm and 5pm on your arrival date. If you can not find it by 5pm please call me at 914-0290. There is a chance the hotel will misplace it so please call me if you can not find it by 5pm. If you reserve airport transfers with us I will give it to the driver instead.
I appreciate your business,

WOW!!! Great deal and service! :63: Can't get better than that. So do you think you can just order the suncreen without booking anything else from them? Would be good to know to pass this info. on to future members/guests that are looking for the biodegradable/eco-friendly sunscreen! Sure would save the hassle of ordering/finding it elsewhere online.

The website seems to allow just ordering the sun cream, you could always email to confirm brant@entertainment-plus.net.

Think of it this way, if you are likely to order sun cream from them you might also be tempted to order a tour as well. Excellent marketing tool!!

I recall from another post the Brenda know the owner.

Ya, I will be ordering our sunscreen and bug spray from them and have it delivered the day we arrive. I might even get our excursion to Xel-ha thru them. It's only $97.00 compared to $127.00 from the park itself. I always wonder if it is cheaper to wait and buy the excursions at the hotel, dont know if they give deals. We want to do Xel-ha and either the dolphin trek or sea trek.

That price is way higher than what you can get either on the internet ($71.00 USD pp) or $79.00 USD pp at the gate. This is just for the general all inclusive admission. They are charging you between $18.00- 28.00 pp to include transportation cost. You don't need to go thru a tour and pay that. It's easily reached by colectivo ($3.00 pp each way) or grab a taxi for around $18.00 each way for up to four people (per ride not per person). It's only 20 minutes south of the resort. Besides, then you will be on your time.....not theirs.....when it comes to deciding when to go back to the resort!

I emailed Entertainment Plus and they do deliver the biodegradable products to the Grand Palladium. Since they operate tours to all major resorts, they simply drop off the product at the front desk. I also checked with my tour operator for the Chichen Itza Classic tour I booked (BTW, for only $49 per person!) and they offer the same deal through Entertainment Plus.
