In Grand Palladium Punta Cana Complex, conscious of our duty to preserve and protect our natural resources, on July 26th we had a cleansing field day in the mangroves of the complex. We joined this international initiative that promotes protection of these important ecosystems in different parts of the world. Our complex is located in an area surrounded by mangroves and ponds so we considered it our duty.
Thirty six of our collaborators stopped their regular duties in the hotel, to give a hand to Mother Nature. We went in the swamps, mangroves and surroundings, and took out all non organic waste found in the waters, which proudly weighted 1,573.9 lbs.
We went at it with a smile; we worked hard in putting our grain of sand in an international cause like this one, with the hope that it helps to preserve the natural resources in the area for many years to come.
The activity was organized by our Quality Control Department with Frederick Rodriguez, manager and Clara Breton, coordinator for ecologic matters as leaders of the field day.
