The often used phrase of “one hand washes the other” was put into action recently when the Grand Palladium Staff Association in Jamaica, in conjunction with the Grand Palladium Foundation, saw it fit to alleviate housing concerns for two of their own.
Sharlene Chambers, whose living conditions were far from ideal, had her dwelling completely refurbished. The elated Chambers, a mother of six, expressed her gratitude for the kind gesture as the keys were handed over to her on April 18.
That same day, another employee, Richard Guthrie, received the keys to his newly-erected house as the previous structure was razed by fire some three weeks earlier.
Mr. Guthrie expressed his gratitude saying, “Thanks to all my friends, co-workers, the staff association and the Grand Palladium management team that assisted me. I really appreciate what you have done, may God bless and keep you all.”
Construction of both houses was carried out by members of the Palladium Maintenance Department of our Resorts in Jamaica.
