The rooms renovation should not generate any inconvenience for anyone because we are only going to refresh the rooms, no common areas (restaurants, bars, etc.,). I don’t mean that this will not be done in the future but our priority at the moment is “rooms”.
It’s is true that, as Toasted Gringo says, even humans get old. But it is also true that, in my very honest opinion, we have been able to keep our resorts in excellent conditions because we care. We are always recognized in the industry for keeping our hotel even better than when we opened in 2002
However, and apart of the fact that time flies and its effects are there, it is true that what was considered to be “fashion” then it’s not exactly the same thing nowadays. So the time to have a new dress has come. This is in few words what we are going to do.
• For this year 2012 we will refresh the GP Kantenah and the Royal Suites Yucatan.
• At the Kantenah:
o New colors
o New courtains
o New sofa (same model as in all our resorts worldwide now that it’s really confortable)
o New pictures.
o New bed dressing.
o New lamps
o New fans
o Bigger Tv’s screens
o New balcony furniture
o New mirrors and new lights in the bathroom
o No more curtains in the bathrooms. It will be a glass panel
o New pictures (really nice ones)
• At the Royal Suites
o More or less the same points but a completely different desing.
Our intention is to start on May. The good thing is that we will work in one, two…maximum three villas at the same time. As there is not too much construction going on it should be fast and it should not bother anyone. This is the good thing to have buildings that were built following very strict quality procedures.
As probably many of you know about our Suites at the GP Colonial and Kantenah, we have not decided yet what will be do with them. We are considering the possibility to have specific “family Suites” here but as there are not too many we considering several options. So, please feel free to make any suggestions for these rooms.
I cannot provide you any picture yet as we just took some last week after the several tests and as I have not been in Riviera since las Sunday, I don’t know if they are ready or not or if they have sent it to someone else.
