Palladium Addict Suggestion Box

Again this year the management of the Grand Palladium Resorts were asking for suggestions on how they could improve or add to your vacation.

Thanks, once again, to Brenda and to all the administrators of this great site for keeping us posted of your last wishes.

I have reviewed the last added wishes and let me tell our point of view regarding some of them and what we will try to do in the next weeks or months, depending on how difficult it could be to implement one particular thing. Please note that, as in any other company, we make suggestions too to our Head Office and that’s only the start of the process. We cannot simply say “tomorrow we will do this or this”. If it’s possible we implement exactly the same services and facilities to all our resorts.

So, let’s talk about your last suggestions.

Pillows.- I have to agreee. At least the type of pillows we are now buying for our resorts are better. It’s a huge investment to replace all the pillows of a resort so normally what we do is to change a limited number of the every year, each time we have to buy new ones. We are doing that already. However, no one has the same opinion about what type of pillows you preffer but I have an idea nowadays since I have to spend some nights is some US hoteles. So now it’s easier for me to know what you guys are talking about. I cannot promise when but I can assure you we are working on that.

TV channels.- It is difficult to add more. It’s a question of how the system works. There is only one cable station available in the area and we work with them but what we will have in the next months is a wifi access service available, at an extra charge, in each rooms. Thanks to this new service those who wish a particular channel will have the chance to use the streaming service available in that service. I honestly thing we have a wide variety of US channels and other English speaking channels. Unfortunately not all of the channels are available with that provieder but, at least, the most important ones. Also for kids.

Corona.- I think I have already answered that in the past but, just in case, we CANNOT serve Corona. We have a special agreement with Superior so we can only use their beers. Sol is very similar to Corona, both are excellent actually.

Towel cards.- It has been more or less answered. We need to use the cards. At the end, a hotel is a business. Getting a good agreement to pay less for a quality beer and trying to avoid towels to get “lost” help us to keep the rates at very competitive levels. One cent and one cent make two cents and all of them counts.

Benches.- At the train stops, in the lobbies.

Drying racks.- We have the already in all our Royal Suites and at the Mayan Suites. But we have tested them also in our resort in Brazil where all the rooms have these racks. We are considering requesting to our Head Office the OK to place them in all our rooms.

Tea selection and hot water in the snacks bars.- They are available but I guess you ment to be “self service”. I think this is a good idea. We will see if we can add it inmediately.

Cold milk.- This is available in all our buffets. I don’t really understand how you couldn’t see them unless I am wrong and you mean another place. As a matter of fact we have also cold light milk, cold soya milk and also cold milk witouth lactose.
