The Riviera Maya Dive Alliance has announced the second edition of the Xcuba Ha underwater photography contest that will take place on December 4-11 in Playa del Carmen.
Thanks to the latest technologies, more and more photo amateurs have surrender themselves to the colorful spectacle that’s hidden underneath the silent submarine world. A couple of diving centers in the Mayan Riviera got together to create the RMDA in order to promote quality diving in this idyllic setting by offering diverse events and social activities. Their Xcuba Ha contest is open to the entire international diving community so they can improve their underwater photography skills through workshops and other side activities, while contributing to the protection and conservation of the fauna and flora found in our vast seas. The contest will begin with ocean, reef and drift diving, as well as wreck, cenotes, cavern and cave diving where some will get the chance to photograph amazing submarine creatures such as lion fishes or bull sharks. The Xcuba Ha contest is a great opportunity for professionals and amateurs to learn, have fun and meet other people that share their passion for underwater photography.
The Grand Palladium Resorts in the Mayan Riviera is the perfect place to stay during the celebration of this contest since they are conveniently located at just 20 minutes away from Playa del Carmen. Good luck and dive in!
