Where is the resort located?
The complex is located in an area surrounded by tranquil turquoise waters in a private secluded bay on the coast of Jamaica. The resort is near the village of Lucea and approximately 25 min. from Montego Bay and the airport.

Can you provide a description of the resort?
The resort’s design reflects the perfect harmony between the ultramodern and luxurious facilities of a first class hotel and the exotic natural surroundings with crystal clear waters and outstanding countryside. This complex also shelters an ultramodern Spa and has the most advanced facilities and offers a wide variety for guest therapies and services.

Can I book directly with the Palladium?
Yes. You can book on their Palladium website but you may find lower rates using a travel agent or on-line reseller. Palladium offers a price match.

Can I request a specific room, building or floor before arriving?

a request can be sent to the resort a week before you are expected to arrive. Requests are not guaranteed but they do their best to honor them.

How many rooms does the resort have?
The GRAND PALLADIUM LADY HAMILTON RESORT & SPA consists of a total of 516 rooms distributed in 13 villas of three levels each with 6 Suites and 30 Jr. Suites per villa and 48 huts with 2 levels each with 4 Bungallows. The GRAND PALLADIUM JAMAICA RESORT & SPA consists of a total of 540 rooms distributed in 15 villas of three levels each with 6 Suites and 30 Jr. Suites per villa.

What is the difference between the rooms?
All Junior Suites contain two double beds or a King-sized, Water Closet, double Jacuzzi, large marble shower, hair dryer, make-up mirror, bath amenities, air conditioning, ceiling fan, mini-bar, flat screenTV (satellite), phone, electric safe box, hair dryer, facilities for tea and coffee, iron, iron board, sofa bed, alarm clock with I Pod dock, balcony or terrace. One Bedroom Suites contain King-sized bed and the same amenities of the Jr. Suites with an additional spacious living room and large flat screen TV. The Bungallow Suites of Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa are Adults Only have the same amenities as the Junior Suites with the exception of a large marble shower an ocean view, private entrance and a wide terrace with wooden chaise lounges and an attached outdoor walled in “Jamaican” shower similar to the Mayan Shower in Mexico.

Are there any non-smoking rooms available?
At this point in time there is no designated ‘non-smoking’ room. If there is a request for a non-smoking room the necessary room conditioning will be done to ensure guest satisfaction.

I would like to order something special for our room , is there a list?

Smart Phone App

Download for free your PALLADIUM CLIC2C app at the Apple Store (iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad) or Android Market using your smartphone. Open the PALLADIUM CLIC2C app and point your camera at the image at a distance of 10-15 cms (4-6 inches). Wait a few seconds. Does the resort offer babysitting service?

Yes, The arrangements can be made through our Guest Relations Desk and we generally need about an hour’s notice. Cost is $ 10.00 USD per hour. Advance arrangements a day before are needed to get advice as the housekeeping staff is smaller than Mexico.

Is there a Internet Cafe? Yes, the Internet Cafe is $8 for 15 minutes, $20 for 1 hour. This is to use their computers with internet.

Does the resort have WiFi?
Yes, WiFi is free in the lobbies with your own laptop, smartphone, itouch etc..

Is there WiFi access in your room?
Yes, purchase your $20 WIFI access card (its just a code you enter) from the CyberHut Cafe on the property. Cost is $20 for 24 hours. WIFI access will work in your room (works thruout the resort). This is for a 24 hour period (example: 1pm-1am) it is not for 2 hours here and there until you hit 24

Is it safe to use the ice and drink the tap water?
The water is potable .

Are there alarm clocks in the rooms?
Yes, every room has an alarm clock.

Can I receive incoming telephone calls in my room?
Yes. Incoming calls will be transferred to your room at no charge.

Can I use my calling card to make outgoing telephone calls from my room?
Yes

Can I purchase calling cards at the resort?
Yes, card is for the special phones in the lobby.

Will my cell phone work in Jamaica?
As long as your cell phone service back home can provide you with roaming capacity you will be fine.

Can I use walkie talkies in Jamaica?
Yes

When do the maids service the rooms?
Maid service is extended between the hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Are there any TV channels in English?
Most of the TV channels offered are in English.

Do I have to bring my own soap and shampoo?
No. Shampoo, body soap gel, lotion, bar soap wash clothes & wash sponges along with a shower cap and razor kit are supplied.

Do I need to bring an adapter for the electrical outlets?
No. The electricity is 110 volts. The outlets accept the standard three prong plugs used in Canada and the U.S. An extension cord is suggested since there are a limited number of free outlets.

Are there clotheslines, coffee makers, hair dryers, irons, ironing boards, and safes in the rooms?
Yes.

How often is my mini-bar refilled?
Minibars are in all Rooms and are restocked daily with water, soft drinks and beer.

Does the resort offer beach towels?
Yes, free towels, sun bed and umbrella service for the beach and swimming pools are included.

What is the proper attire at the resort?
BEACH BARS: Swim suits and cover ups are fine. THE RESTAURANTS BY THE POOLS: Bathing suits are acceptable but must have a cover up and wear shoes/flip flops. ENCLOSED BUFFETS: Shorts, skorts, capris, anything casual is fine. Men should not wear sleeveless shirts. A LA CARTES: The a la cartes require men to be in long pants (i.e. dockers) and shoes/sandals; shirt with a sleeve ( i.e. polo/tropical shirts). Women may wear capris, sun dresses, shoes/sandals.

What are the check-in and checkout times?
Check-in time is 3pm. If your room is made-up you will be allowed to check-in early. Checkout time is noon on the day of your departure. You may be allowed a late checkout depending upon availability and with an extra charge. Late check out charge until 4pm is $40 USD and until 6pm is $60 USD. After 6pm is subject to a full night stay at the rack rate price.

Can I checkout the night before I leave?
Express check out is available.

Is there a doctor at the resort?
Yes, medical service is available 24 hours a day and there is an extra charge.

Is there a car rental agency at the resort?
Yes

Does the resort offer a Catholic Mass?
No, but there are Catholic churches in close proximity to the resort.

Does the resort accept spring breakers?
No, they not they do not accommodate spring breakers at this resort.

Is laundry service available?

Do I need local currency?
No USD is widely accepted. The local currency are Jamaican dollars, but definitely also USD.

Is there an ATM at the resort?
Yes! Currency dispensed is USD as well as local currency. Check with your bank fees may apply.

What do we do in case of severe weather such as a hurricane?
At the first update regarding severe weather conditions such as a hurricane, guests are advised and given the option of leaving for home . In case where flights are not possible due to weather all the necessary precautions are taken to ensure the safety of guests. Grand Palladiums Hurricane Policy

What if a power failure occurs?
The resort is equipped with an in house system (generator) that is powerful enough to service the entire resort with electricity.

What other services does the resort offer?

What are the different color wristbands?
Red – For repeat guests, VIPs, honeymooners, and aniversaries.

Does the beach have lifeguards on duty?
Yes

Where can I catch a taxi?
At the entrance of the lobbies . There is a taxi service on call at the resort.

Is transportation available around the resort?
There are golf carts which are being used for transportation around the resort, and in the future there will be a train .

How much cash should we bring with us?
That is entirely up to you , depending on how much cash you plan to spend while on vacation. It is up to you if you would like to tip. Most people bring several $1 USD for this purpose.

Are passes available for friends staying at other hotels and would like to visit me?
Yes, there are both day and night passes . $60USD per person for an adult day pass, $30USD per person for a children’s day pass, and $70USD per person for an adult evening pass.

Resort Activities

Is there a mini club for children?
Yes. 4 to 12 years of age, open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. with different activities according to ages. The Mini Club is located next to the main pool with outside and inside areas, where it is possible to leave their children under supervision. It has a spacious lawn and everything necessary for the amusement and comfort of little ones. Facilities and activities: play park; room for painting; room of crafts; video; video games, children’s disco until 9:00 p.m.

What is included in the Spa, Fitness and Sports Center?
Spa and Fitness Centre – there is an extra charge of 10 USD per person for the humid areas access and numerous massages or treatments with an extra charge too. The Grand Palladium Resorts in Jamaica offers its guests one of the most spectacular and modern spas in Jamaica. Guests are offered a wide arrange of therapies such as Spa massages (Swedish, Sports, Reflexologies, Vichy, massages for couples, etc.), baths (with Therapist), facial and corporal treatments and defoliations. The SPA contains a Beauty Parlor where guests are offered services of depilation, manicure, pedicure and beauty salon Unisex attended by the best professionals. All Inclusive: Fitness Area (spacious gymnasium with changing and wardrobe rooms with Air conditioning and weight room), sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and foot massage. Extra charges: Beauty salon, and spa treatments. (*) All of the Spa services need require a reservation. Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted in the spa. From the Sauna/Steam room, Jacuzzi, and foot massage are now with extra charge.

What additional services are available?
Around the entire Resort, guests will find one an ample scale of facilities extending throughout the resort: 2 spacious and elegant Lobbies, spacious open air theater, Casino with games(electronic) and bar service, Medical service (24 hours, fee), Car rental, Wedding chapel, Guest service desks attended by the public relations staff, Hospitality desks, where the tour operators offer service of assistance and Information, Travel agency, Conferences rooms (fee) and an Internet cafe (fee).

How many pools are there?
There are Five fresh water swimming pools. A huge swimming pool with 4 integrated Jacuzzis and swim up bar; one private swimming pool for kids, an adult swimming pool with 1 Jacuzzi (open until midnight), One quiet pool in the Grand Palladium Jamaica with one integrated Jacuzzi and bar service, and the Spa pool with a lazy river. Free towel, sun beds and umbrella service for the beach and swimming pools. Beaches – There are several beaches located along the Palladium’s beachfront. Coves, private areas, walking beaches, swimming beaches, and snorkeling beaches, you decide!

What sports activities are included?
Guests are offered the following sports activities without charge: aerobics, aquatic aerobics, ping pong, basketball, beach volleyball, soccer, tennis, Pentanque, water polo, darts, group games, archery, and nine holes mini golf . There are 3 tennis courts. 2 volleyball courts(beach), 1 basketball courts, 1 pro-soccer field (artificial turf) , 1 nine-hole mini golf.

What water sports are included?
ALL INCLUDED: Catamaran, kayak, snorkeling, windsurfing, pedal boat. WITH EXTRA CHARGE: Deep-sea fishing, excursions, scuba diving courses, windsurf lessons, sailing lessons and motorized water sports.

What other activities are included?
Daily activities on the beach and swimming pool, as well as different shows during the night in the Theater; Shows for children in the theater; children’s disco, disco with A/C for adults (18 years of age and older only)

Does the resort have a casino?
There is a gaming lounge with game machines and bar service. * 18 years of age or older.

Food & Drink

How many ala carte reservations will I get?
The Palladium is now using a pager system for the a la carte dining. All guests now have unlimited a la cartes. If you wish to dine at a particular restaurant you must check in with the manager at that restaurant. You will be informed at that time if there is a sitting available on that night. If there is not an immediate opening you will be given a pager When a table becomes available your pager will beep and shine for 5 minutes. Your table will be held for 10 minutes and if you have not arrived within this time your table could be assigned to other guests. In order to receive your pager you will be required to leave your room key. In the case of a lost or damaged pager there will be a $100.00 charge assigned to your room. If you have a group of ten or more people and you wish to dine together contact guest services at least 24 hours in advance and ask if there is availability. The group will all have to select a common entrée and dessert.

How can I make my group dining reservation
Reservations are not necessary for dining in the a la carte restaurants but your group reservations can be taken care of by the Concierge department.

What are the hours of operation of the A la Carte restaurants?
5:30 pm until 10:30 pm

Is there a 24 hour snack bar?
Yes, 24-hour all-inclusive, drinks and snacks

Does the resort have high chairs?
Yes

What is the legal drinking age in Jamaica?
Eighteen years old. All minors will receive a special color wristband alerting bartenders of their non-drinking status.

How are food allergies dealt with ?

We have implemented, in all our destinations, a procedure to take care of guests with food allergies, since celiac to those who suffer from nuts allergies. Contact us before your arrival we will explain how to proceed. On arrival we will give you a card (different according to the allergy) with some instructions. Our staff will be trained to assist them at any time.
We have our Staff available to help you at the Buffets and Restaurants (Restaurant Manager).

There is a great buffet selection available for all kind of taste and diet. There are fresh salads, fruits, rice, bread, different kinds of sausages, hams, etc. We are pretty sure that you will always find an option. It is very important that you advise our Public Relations Desk about your food allergy.

Is there a paella beach lunch?
Yes, a paella beach lunch will be served in the Poseidon Seafood Restaurant.

Is smoking permitted in the restaurants and buffets?
No smoking is allowed in the enclosed restaurants and buffets ; smoking is only allowed in the outdoor ones.

Is the milk they serve pasteurized?
Yes
